Call of Duty: Warzone has permanently banned 50,000 players since its launch. Activision revealed that all of the banned players were punished for using cheats, aimbots, and wallhacks. The information was published on the developer’s blog on 7th April, where the company stated that “Warzone has zero-tolerance for cheaters”. It also revealed that the security teams monitor game servers 24 hours a day to identify possible violations. Call of Duty: Warzone is available for free download on Playstation 4 (PS4) and Xbox One consoles, and also on PC.

Warzone consists of two modes: Battle Royale and Plunder. One of the best features is that it allows crossplay between platforms It was released on March 10, 2020, and in 10 days reached 30 million downloads. It is worth mentioning that on the Microsoft console you must be an Xbox Live Gold subscriber to download the title. Meanwhile, it is available for free on the Playstation 4.

Cheats ruin game experience

The use of hacks is condemned by Activision. The prohibited Aimbots software increases the shooting accuracy of the players. The hack automatically aims at opponents’ heads and enables kills with a single shot. Meanwhile, wallhacks allow cheaters to see through walls. Both give a great advantage to those who use them against enemies and are banned in multiplayer games.

Aimbots are quite infamous in FPS titles, such as Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO) and Rainbow Six: Siege (R6), which also severely punish cheaters. Hacks of this type are strictly prohibited by developers because, in addition to giving unfair advantages to those who use them, they hinder the gameplay experience of other players.

Season 3 details revealed

Aside from the news of banning hackers, the developer also revealed the details of Season 3. Activision plans to bring big changes to the game. The trailer hints at the possibility of 4-man squads in the new season. The Warzone community can also expect new weapons, vehicles, and some familiar characters. The gaming community also believes that a new sniper might also make its way to season 3.

The new season will also see the return of legendary maps like Aniyar Incursion, Talsik Backlot, and Hovec Sawmill. All of the maps will have new blueprints and Supply Boxes which means more player contracts. The PlayStation Plus subscribers can also get their hands on the Combat Pack. It is also hinted that Warzone will get silenced and non-silenced versions of existing weapons available in the game.

The title is basically the Battle Royale mode of Call of Duty Modern Warfare, originally released in 2019. Despite this, anyone can play it, even the ones who don’t have the base game. It is worth mentioning that, currently, the game allows up to 150 participants in a single game. Activision has also announced its intentions to increase the capacity to 200 users per match, divided into teams of three, four and quite possibly five players.
